ROGNAN to change small space living
Together with Ori, IKEA is exploring flexible and innovative solutions to maximise small spaces. Introducing ROGNAN robotic furniture. Sounds like science fiction? You be the judge.
More and more people are living and moving into cities. Approximately 1.5 million people join the urban population every week. This mass urbanisation is accelerating and creating heavily populated cities that are consuming both land and resources at an unsustainable pace. IKEA wants to create a better everyday life for the many people by enabling them to create their dream homes in even the smallest spaces. In order to do this, we had to answer the question: How can you put limited square meters to best use, without compromising on either function or your dreams?
To answer this IKEA, in collaboration with Ori, an American startup developing robotic furniture for modern living, decided to challenge the limitations of small living spaces. Introducing ROGNAN, a robotic furniture solution. At the press of a touchpad, ROGNAN will enable people to turn small spaces into smart spaces, with all the comfort and convenience of a home.
