Striving for imperfection
JASSA is a summer collection, inspired by traditional crafts and techniques used in Indonesia and Vietnam. Tanya König, our reporter, spoke with the Creative Leader for the project Karin Gustavsson, and two of the designers Iina Vuorivirta and Paulin Machado.
The JASSA collection is designed in collaboration with Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek. To obtain a Bohemian and vintage feeling, the team has sought out imperfections in the production process.
We have followed the development of the JASSA collection here on ikea.today. Find out the thinking behind the designer’s work, see their first sketches and read all about how they worked with artisans on the factory floor at the suppliers in India and Indonesia.
