Inter IKEA Group announces new leadership
Inter IKEA Group today announces new managers for IKEA Range and IKEA Supply. The Group is also introducing a new Global Operations Manager (COO). All three roles will be part of the Inter IKEA Group Management team.
Today Inter IKEA Group is working with its partners in the IKEA value chain to develop a new IKEA operating model. The new operating model will clarify roles and a common, more focused IKEA agenda. Inter IKEA Group is introducing a new Global Operations Manager to lead its development: Henrik Elm.
With more than 10 years leading IKEA Supply, Henrik has a deep and unique perspective on the IKEA value chain. As Global Operations Manager, he’ll apply this knowledge to reduce costs and develop new capabilities to support the IKEA business agenda.
As part of a planned succession, Inter IKEA Group will appoint Susanne Waidzunas as the new Global Supply Manager. Susanne is today Supply Chain Operations Manager, and she has deep experience in IKEA Supply. Before and during the pandemic, she has proven herself as a people-focused leader with a passion for sustainability – qualities that will serve her (and IKEA) well in her new role. Susanne also has strong business focus; developing the business, finding solutions and meeting new challenges.
Henrik and Susanne will start their new roles on 1 September 2022.
Inter IKEA Group is also introducing new leadership for the global range and business areas. As announced separately, Peter van der Poel will leave his role as Global Range Manager for a new role in Ingka Group. Fredrika Inger, today Range & Product Development Manager, will succeed Peter as Global Range Manager.
Fredrika brings a strong passion for the IKEA range offer along with a total value chain perspective. With her values-driven leadership, she’ll lead the development of an even better IKEA home furnishing offer. She starts her new role on 1 May 2022.
“The past few years have been a challenging time for many,” says Inter IKEA Group CEO Jon Abrahamsson Ring. “Along the way we’ve faced unprecedented challenges and a global pandemic. IKEA continues to stand strong. We’re grateful for the talented leaders who’ve brought Inter IKEA this far. Now a new group of IKEA leaders will continue their work to make Inter IKEA Group and IKEA even better.”
